We think this region of the Ozarks is stunningly beautiful. From cedar trees to the lapping waves of Lake Taneycomo, to the mountain crests of these magnificent Ozark peaks, there is much to enjoy. In the midst of so much beauty, people still struggle. People have a need for Jesus, no matter if they live in wealth or poverty, if they live with an abundance of friends or without any close connections. No matter who you are, Jesus came to save YOU.
If you are new to the area or new to Bridge of Faith Community Church, here is a little information for you to find ways to connect:
❊ You can plug in during a Sunday small group, which takes place at 9:15 AM, or attend the primary teaching and worship service at 10:30 AM. Many people find that attending both is a helpful way to be immersed in community and teaching so that they may learn more about God, enjoy getting to know others in the church, and to develop relationships with people who will pour into their lives.
❊ If you have children, services are available for kids from infants through high school. We are in the process of incorporating kids more into the primary worship and teaching service, but there still remains many opportunities for kids to learn about Jesus along with others their age.
❊ Joining a Wednesday REACH service is a fun way to connect and immediately plug in to the church community. REACH does take a pause during the summer, but it runs the rest of the year. A free meal is served at 6:30 PM for children and adults; and then individuals gather into different classes for a small group Bible study. There is no need to sign up - simply show up!
❊ We have a bus ministry that picks up children within a designated area of the Rockaway Beach and Merriam Woods region. To learn more about this bus ministry, or to see if your child lives within range, please email the church at info@bridgeoffaithcc.com. The bus ministry operates for the Wednesday evening and Sunday morning services. Each week, approximately 100 kids are bused to the church for a free meal, Bible study lesson, and relationship-building activities. Summer programs, including the Bridge of Faith Athletics and the Summers at the Beach programs, are incredibly life-giving and positive-development resources for kids in the community. To inquire about volunteering with the kids' ministry, please email the church at the above-mentioned email.
❊ If you are looking for a place to connect to church and begin serving, BoF has many opportunities for students, men, and women to serve. Below are just a few areas where volunteers are regularly needed:
➾Sunday & Wednesday children's ministries
➾Youth group ministry
➾Thrift stores
➾Building labor to help complete building projects around The Village
➾Summers at the Beach (children's program)
➾Food co-op
➾Youth and young adult internship program
➾Special event assistance (special holiday dinners, festivals hosted by the church, etc.)
➾General assistance, as needed (this could include office assistance, clean-up and beautifying projects around The Village, setting up for services and dinners, church cleaning, and more).
Many hands make light work and we are grateful for church and community members who desire to use their time and talents to lift up the name of Jesus, provide practical support to the church ministries, and to engage the needs of others with compassion and sensitivity.
